On June 3rd, the Democratic Party of Massachusetts held it's 2011 convention at the Tsongas Center in Lowell.

Massachusetts Government Appointments Project (MassGAP) is a bi-partisan coalition of women’s groups whose purpose is to increase the number of women appointed by the new governor to senior-level cabinet positions, agency heads and selected authorities and commissions in the Commonwealth. This event celebrated MassGAP's efforts to continue advancing women in state government. Pinewood Derby

I still remember being with my Dad some 32 years ago at my first Pinewood Derby. This past weekend my son participated in his first derby. It was an honor to pass down that experience to him. In 2006 the Pinewood Derby was selected as part of "America's 100 Best" and "a celebrated rite of Spring" by Reader's Digest. I could not agree more.
